Twin Daggers of Economic Treason

President Obama reached out to Jeff Immelt, Chairman and CEO of General Electric, to be an advisor on creating jobs.

That same Immelt took a field trip to China in May, 2011, to meet with China's governmental executives in charge of locomotives/railroads. In late Fall of 2011, with all the distractions holiday seasons bring, a small meeting occurred in Washingon, D.C.

Three powerful leaders met privately in the White House. It was so secret that there were no staffers or advisors in the small room, only meeting principals, translators, and domestic staff to serve and replenish refreshments. The principals were Barack Obama, Jeffrey Immelt, and a powerful Chinese leader.

The results were extraordinary: China needs turbine locomotive engines. G.E. builds them. During the meeting, Immelt agreed to give China  locomotive turbine technology. Give, not sell.

Do you remember hearing or reading about the meeting? It was as downplayed as downplayed can be.

Yesteryear, the America I knew would have contracted with China and built entire locomotives for an agreed-upon price and delivery schedule. The nuts, bolts, engines, steel and electronics-- everything that's required to build a modern locomotive would have been produced by G.E. and its U.S. subcontractors. Once finished, the locomotives would have found their way to a U.S. port, to be loaded on cargo ships in yards with American dock workers, and loaded upon American freighters, all by American hands.

This isn't yesteryear.

Obama delivered on his promise to create tens of thousands of jobs. Obama delivered the jobs to China, not to Americans praying for an industrial revival. With Immelt's hand on the hilt, Obama drove a long dagger deep into the heart of America's recovery and into the outlook of suffering American workers.

This meeting came after G.E.'s announcement to move manufacture of its X-ray machines to China, closing a Wisconsin plant that's been operating for over 115 years, another dagger stabbed in to the heart of economic stabilization in the U.S.

Before his election as Federal Community Organizer and President, Obama pledged change, hope, jobs, and reversal of a devastated economy. It seems his allegiance is pledged to China.

You'll never know what prompted Immelt to hand over the locomotive technology. You'll never know what else (he who bowed to the Saudi king) Obama conceded to the Chinese, nor in exchange for what, if anything.  Obama empowered and employed the Chinese as Immelt gave away an incalculable economic boost to a job-starved Americans.

If there was such a thing as economic treason, this meeting is proof enough for a conviction.

G.E. reported over 14 billion dollars in profits last year, paid zero corporate taxes, and currently has 57% of its workforce outside the United States of America.

God bless America. Goddamn Obama. And God help me understand how anyone could choose economic treason by voting for Obama in November, 2012.
